Results of theoretical and experimental investigation of spectral-temporal parameters both for the basic oscillation and for the second harmonic of a linear cw YAG self-locked laser with intracavity SHG are presented. It is shown that if the laser parameters satisfy the conditions of the realization of the stable n-type self-locking, then a nonlinear intracavity frequency multiplying element in the case of the exact synchronism results in the appearance of a FM operation with modulation frequency of the carrier ns/2L.
