Problems of application of surface film thermocouples for temperature measurement of the turbine blades of a gas-turbine motor are considered. A comparison is made between the readings of the film and usual wire thermocouples. Platinum was chosen for the material of the film thermoelectrode in place of nickel. The results of the tests obtained in actual working conditions confirmed the efficiency of film thermocouples.
