Presentation of forecasting to an MRP system. Emphasis is made on the master schedule. In so doing, the writer discusses how interdepartmental conflicts affect the master schedule. Also discussed is how to deal with the problem of uncertainty at the master schedule, and how to reduce the low tolerance for ambiguity of the manufacturing control people.
