A qualitative analysis of the domain of existence of a self-adjusting post-fault regime of a power system as a whole is used to obtain a series of criteria for the disruption of the dynamic stability of a system containing an arbitrary finite number of machines. The proposed criteria permit a determination to be made as to disruption of dynamic stability on the basis of network parameters in a post-fault state and the values of prime-mover capacities by their substitution into the given inequalities. It is not assumed that alpha //i//k equals O.
