Null-field approach to boundary-value problems for the Stokes equation

A number of boundary-value problems for the Stokes equation are considered. The problems are solved by means of a method employing integral representation theorems. The approach is an extension of the null-field approach to problems of creeping motion and rubber elasticity. Existence and uniqueness of a solution are proved for various boundary conditions, corresponding to a number of physical problems. The L2 completeness of a certain set of functions, used for surface-field approximations, is also established.
