摘要：
South African heavy engineering industry is capable of producing a major percentage of Iscor's requirements locally. It is able to satisfy both cost and quality standards to compete with traditional overseas suppliers of this type of equipment. The following paper gives an overview of four examples of heavy engineering equipment to illustrate the size and complexity of typical heavy plant in the steel industry.
