摘要：
The fiber-reinforced-polymer (FRP) composite materials are developed to enable strengthening of a variety of concrete and metallic structures. The FRP structural strengthening solution enabled Network Rail to upgrade an important part of the rail network within tight time constraints and in a cost-effective manner. The use of FRP strengthening technology has become more extensive within the civil engineering industry. It provide a useful tool to minimize maintenance and upgrade costs of an aging national bridge stock with increasing traffic demands.
