摘要
A study of the physicochemical properties and composition of the lignins of reeds and of reed peats with degrees of decomposition of 20 and 50% has shown that in the process of peat formation the lignin undergoes far-reaching structural changes in the direction of oxidation and destruction. In addition to this, condensation processes take place as the result of which the amount of high-molecular-weight fractions in the lignin rises considerably. In the process of peat formation, the products of the degradation of lignin take part in the formation of the humic acid molecules.
