摘要
NiFe/Cu/Co spin-valves by RF magnetic sputtering were fabricated. The change of MR ratio with the thickness of Cu was studied. It was found that the MR ratio is the largest when the thickness of Cu is 2.5 nm. The maximum MR ratio can reach 1.6%. When a thin Co layer is inserted between NiFe and Cu, the layer inserted Co will affect the GMR effects and magnetic properties of spin valves. Inserting a proper thickness of Co can enhance the GMR effect of the sandwich. The maximum MR ratio can reach 2.5%. The causes of the effects were discussed.
