摘要：
The implementation of a communications system for telephony, data transmission, television networking with or without sound programs, plus television broadcasting and community reception, can be simulated for any country in the world by means of this computer program. This simulation program (SIKOM), compares, for a desired coverage area, implementations of communications satellite systems and terrestrial long lines networks. Aside from the most important technical data, the program performs a cost analysis to determine a 'cost optimum' system. Thus the simulation program can be regarded as an objective decision making tool for the implementation of communications systems.
