The ″Danelock″ , a fuel-saving bulk carrier, is 225. 0 m long, has a maximum draft of 13. 1 m and has a cruising range of 21,500 nautical miles while averagaing 15 knots. Operating economy is the impressive feature of this new design of Panamax bulk carrier from the revitalized Burmeister & Wain Shipyard. The BC60E2 design exploits an efficient hull form and a derated B&W5L80GFCA low-speed diesel engine to achieve an average daily fuel consumption of 37 tonnes.
