摘要：

The harvest process for dry edible beans typically includes three or more field operations. Field harvest losses were measured for each operation for 20 growers during two seasons. Total field losses averaged 3. 7% of yield and ranged from 1% to 13%. The combine operation acounted for 60% of the total loss. Cutting operations contributed to 20% of the total loss and the remaining loss was attributed to windrowing and rodding operations. Specific management factors were identified which were necessary for achieving low harvest loss.
