摘要：

Particular problems related to the foundation design of offshore gravity structures in comparison with structures on shore are outlined. The current NGI method for overall foundation-stability on clay, the effect of cyclic loading on clay, the dynamic analysis of the soil structure system, and platform behavior during the installation phase are discussed.
