Measurements have been made of the spontaneous magnetizations of crystallographically ordered alloys with compositions Pt//3Mn//xCr//1// minus //x (0 less than equivalent to x less than equivalent to 1). The average magnetic moment per atom, mu bar , varies smoothly from 0. 63 mu //B(Pt//3Cr) to 1. 11 mu //B(Pt//3Mn). The Curie temperatures are largest at x equals 1 (395 K) and x equals 0(481 K) and show a minimum around x equals 0. 8.
