摘要
Small amounts of dissolved water have an obvious influence on the pressure release process of pressurized carbon dioxide. The process is explicitly slower. This is caused by the formation of carbon dioxide hydrate inside the venting line. The effect is substantially influenced by the release velocity and the initial entropy. This makes it possible to detect critical ranges of initial conditions. To reduce the risk of blocking the cross sectional area of the venting line has to be increased. However this is coupled to a higher cooling rate of the vessel. No substantial improvement by heating the venting line can be stated. A modification of an existing simulation model has been presented which takes into account the effect of hydrate formation using a single additional parameter.
