摘要
Because of their high fracture toughness, insensitivity to delayed fracture after welding, high corrosion resistance, etc. , the high-strength austenitic steels are suitable for welded structures. Experimental results are presented, however, which show that these steels are susceptible to embrittlement during strain aging. A steel characterized by lower susceptibility to embrittlement in reheating and deformation during welding is recommended for use in welded structures.
