摘要
This article explains how textile finishers can save chemicals, improve work environment and reduce yarn stretch with foam sizing. Special emphasis is placed on the big bonus with this process: huge energy savings. The principles of foam sizing and two types of systems currently being used to apply foamed chemical solutions to textile materials are detailed. It is shown how energy costs for drying can be reduced by 50% with foam size slashing.
