The purpose of this work is to study the protonic structure of iron(II) sulfate monohydrate. The NMR spectrum of FeOHSO//4 consists, in the entire temperature range studied, of a singlet line of 4 G half-width with a field shift of minus 4 g relative to the proton resonance in diamagnetic environment. It can be concluded from the results of spectroscopic investigations that iron (II) sulfate monohydrate contains two types of nonequivalent protonic groupings, present in equal concentrations. Formation of two types of nonequivalent groupings in iron (II) sulfate monohydrate is evidence of dissociation of H//2O molecules under the influence of the lattice crystal field into OH** minus groups and hydrogen ions, and localization of the latter near oxygen atoms of the sulfate ions ('acid' protons).
