A detailed description and specifications of the new train ferry, the m. v. Garibaldi, to serve the Italian mainland-Sardinia route is presented. The ship is 146 in long and 19. 2 m wide, and it can carry 80 railroad cars. Plans of the deck, engine room, and details of the control system and operating costs are given.
