There is a high competitive pressure on plant manufacturers. For enhancing the efficiency, reliability and sustainability of their plants the manufacturers regard modern automation technology as an im-portant lever. The it's owl project ScAut of the best cluster competition focuses the integration of engineering und mathematical methods and technologies in the automation technology. This is called Scientific Automation.
