Analysis of jamming effect on scatter wave jamming to SAR imaging

The paper studies the jamming effects on scatter wave jamming to synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and analyzes jamming effects to SAR in the range direction. Scatter wave jamming factor is put forward in the paper, and using the stationary phase principle, scatter wave jamming factor affected the imaging characteristics in the azimuth direction are analyzed in detail. Furthermore, the condition of scatter wave jamming to SAR which generates different jamming effects is discussed. The result shows that, this jamming method to airborne SAR can be regarded as false deceptive image jamming or disperse suppress image jamming, and the jamming effects are just false deceptive image jamming to spaceborne SAR. © 2011 by Editorial Department of Chinese Journal of Radio Science.
