Measurement and correlation of vapor-liquid equilibrium of methanol, dimethyl carbonate and dimethyl oxalate

Vapor-liquid equilibrium (VLE) data of methanol-dimethyl carbonate, methanol-dimethyl oxalate and dimethyl carbonate-dimethyl oxalate in dimethyl carbonate synthesis system were determined at different temperatures by headspace gas chromatography. Three activity coefficient models, Wilson, NRTL, UNIQUAC, were used to correlate the VLE data of these binary systems to obtain the binary parameters. With these parameters, vapor compositions were calculated and compared with these corresponding experimental data. The results are in good agreement.
