摘要
This paper studied the effect of laser welding on the microstructure and properties in weld zone of Fe-Mn-Si based shape memory alloys. The result showed that weld microstructure could be remarkably refined and the matrix strength improved greatly. In the meanwhile, larger degree of supercooling caused more stacking faults which were conducive to nucleation of Ε martensite, a significant improvement of shape memory effect was obtained accordingly, and compared to matrix, it was increased by 40%-178%. In simulated oilfield medium, due to the passivate phenomenon in the weld with fine and uniform microstructure during corrosion process, at the same time also reduces the corrosion potential of the battery, the corrosion rate was decreased so that the corrosion resistance of the weld was better than the matrix. ©, 2015, Journal of Functional Materials.
