摘要
A new approach to measurement of the surface resistance Rs of large conductive samples is investigated. The technique for determining Rs with the use of an open annular quasi-optical dielectric resonator in which whispering gallery modes are excited, is presented. The basic characteristics of the cavity resonator have been investigated both theoretically and experimentally within the frequency range from 30 to 40 GHz. The possibility to apply an annular dielectric resonator for measurement Rs of high-temperature superconductors is demonstrated. ©2010 by Begell House, Inc.
