摘要
The high temperature forging process of TiAl based alloy square billet was investigated by using a Deform-3D software. The effects of the corner radius (R) and the ratio of height to width (H/a) of the billet on effective strain and deformation uniformity were analyzed. The results demonstrate that deformation uniformity ratio increases with the decrease of the corner radius and the increase of the H/a ratio, the effective stress decreases with the increase of the H/a ratio, and when the ratio is over 2.1 double bumping will appear after forge. Forging experiment was employed based on the simulation work. Through using suitable R and H/a ratio the square billet with smooth face and homogeneous microstructure can be obtained.
