摘要
Chemical oxidation is a rapidly growing remediation technology, which has found application in soil and groundwater treatments. The key successful in-situ chemical oxidation persistent contact between the oxidant and the contaminant in the right proportion so that a first order rate of reaction is achieved. An important design consideration for in-situ chemical oxidation would be to pick a suitable chemical oxidant for the contaminant of interest and and the site-specific conditions. Chemical oxidation technology should be used to achieve low contaminant concentration on project sites with high contaminant mass.
