摘要
Ultrasound is widely used in engineering and biology for applications such as ultrasonic cleaning, cutting, and cancer treatment. Piezoelectric ultrasonic transducers are widely used to generate ultrasonic waves. In the existing transducer design process, no clear and specific intelligent design or manufacturing method has been proposed; therefore, ultrasonic transducers cannot effectively meet the actual requirements. In the industry, top-down intelligent design methods have been widely used and have achieved good results. Therefore, a top-down design method for industrial products can be considered to optimize the design of existing ultrasonic transducers. This study combines a top basic skeleton (TBS) design method based on a top-down design method that was proposed in our previous research with the piezoelectric equation and nonlinear Westervelt equation. In the TBS, the distribution of sound pressure in the sound field is used as a constraint condition to provide a reference for the design of ultrasonic transducers. Considering a focused ultrasound transducer as an example, to ensure that the sound field in the treatment process of high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) meets the treatment requirements of different sound field intensities and focusing depths, an original single-vibrator focused ultrasound transducer is optimized. The experimental results show that the optimization design method proposed in this article is effective, and the focusing depth and sound field intensity of the transducer can be adjusted by modularly replacing parts and controlling the working quantity and excitation of piezoelectric ceramics, thereby achieving the design goal.
