Concurrent design of casting die based on Pro/Intralink

摘要
Since the design of casting die has the systematic, flexible, experimental and tentative characteristics, the method which can realize the concurrent design of casting die is proposed. The designer can manage casting dies effectively though utilizing the information administration system Pro/Intralink based on the concurrent engineering, and realize the concurrent design using the Pro/E 3D software which is linked tightly with Pro/Intralink. In addition, the key practical techniques to realize the concurrent design are also introduced, and the proper flow chart, the effective administration of the cooperated personnel, the automatic backup and recovery of the database are established. The practice shows that the concurrent design of casting die can increase the effectiveness of design, thus put the more new products into the market.
