摘要
The heat source from the cutting process generates heat fluxes and thermo-elastic deformations on the workpiece and its clamping system. These fluxes and deformations are investigated and evaluated by a combination of measurement and numerical simulation of the temperatures and the deformations. In this context the Finite Element Method helps to identify the thermal boundary and contact conditions. This work is part of a Collaborative Research Center of the German Research Foundation investigating the thermo-energetic behavior of machine tools. © 2014, Carl Hanser Verlag, München.
