摘要
In order to better understand the tensile deformation capability of tubular weft knitted fabrics, a three-dimensional weft knitted fabric loop model and a tubular weft knitted fabric model were established using a three-dimensional modeling software Rhino, on the basis of the measured fabric structure parameters. The tensile properties of the fabric were simulated on unit loop level and tubular fabric level using the finite element analysis software ABAQUS. Numerical simulations of fabric tensile process were studied and corresponding experiment verification was carried out. Deformation and stress distribution of yarns in the stretching process of knitted fabrics were analyzed and discussed. The results indicate that when fabrics are stretched along the length direction, the finite element analysis results of its deformation and stress change are described accurately compared to the experimental results. Moreover, the difference in stress and strain values between the simulated and the experimental results is about 8%, indicating that the numerical simulation is feasible and effective. © 2021, Periodical Agency of Journal of Textile Research.
