摘要
Basketball, characterized by its dynamic blend of running, jumping, shooting, and strategic postures, demands a high level of competitiveness and professional skill from its players. This intense and multidirectional nature of the sport often places college students who actively engage in basketball at an elevated risk of injury. Understanding the patterns and causative factors behind these injuries among college students is paramount. This thesis, anchored in an in-depth investigation and analysis of basketball-related injuries among college students within our institution, seeks to shed light on the intricacies of these injuries. It endeavors to provide a comprehensive interpretation of the characteristics, locations, and underlying causes of these injuries. Leveraging advanced data mining algorithms, we aim to uncover discernible patterns and trends in basketball-related injuries. However, the implications of this analysis extend beyond the basketball court. By recognizing the specific injuries commonly afflicting college athletes and understanding their root causes, we can proactively design and implement preventive measures. These measures not only enhance the safety of student-athletes but also contribute valuable insights for healthcare professionals and patients dealing with similar injuries. Through data mining, we aspire to identify early warning signs, risk factors, and effective preventive strategies tailored to the unique demands of college basketball. This research not only advances our understanding of sports-related injuries but also fosters a proactive approach to healthcare and well-being for our student population. Ultimately, this interdisciplinary endeavor seeks to bridge the worlds of sports and healthcare, fostering a holistic approach to injury prevention and ensuring the long-term well-being of our college athletes. © 2023 ThinkBiotech LLC.
