Experimental research on seismic behavior of SC beam to RC column connection

Based on experiments of endplate bolted connection of the SC beam and RC column specimen under cyclic loading, the failure pattern, hysteretic loops, skeleton curves and ductility were studied. Researches show that endplate bolted connection of the SC beam and RC column specimen had enough energy dissipation capacity and stable hysteretic characteristic. Yielding capacity and ultimate capacity of this connection are less influenced by the rations of transverse steel and the arrangement of steel, and the degree of shear connection of composite beam, while the ductility is influenced by these two parameters obviously. The increase of the rations of transverse steel add to the ductility of connections; and the increase of degree of shear connection lead to stronger deformability.
