Steel-encased concrete structure has many advantages, such as the simple construction, convenient links, flexible use, high bearing capability and well durability etc, but the advantage of cracking performance and bending stiffness as flexural member is obscure. Prestressing it to form prestressed steel-encased concrete structure can improve above shortages. Analyzing the T-beam structure and bearing characteristics, four failure modes were included according to steel corner yielding, strain of compressive concrete reaching extremum and tendon yielding or not, furthermore bend-bearing capacity calculation formulas considering neutral axis in different position were established.
