摘要
The dedicated vacuum barrier, to be installed in the transfer lines held at 2 K f or the accelerator-driven sub-critical reactor system, was successfully develop ed to precisely guarantee the independence of the different vacuum systems, equip ped in the high current proton accelerator. The vacuum barrier was approximated, m odeled, and simulated with finite element analysis software package ANSYS. The inf luencing factors, such as the temperature distributions, thermal conductivity, stre ss distribution possibly originated from the thermal-mechanical coupling, and st ructural strength, were calculated to optimize the design of the vacuum barrier. P ossible improvements of the vacuum barrier design and fabrication were also tent atively discussed in a thought-provoking way.
