摘要
The contents and research purposes of functional digital prototyping were described, and an application measure about CAE technology was presented toward digital product development of machine tools. According to dynamic analysis and optimal design of machine tool structure, digital analysis and optimal design of some model of precision horizontal MC was developed. The result shows that important effects of introducing CAE in design initial stages are proved, such as decreasing design mistakes, shortening design cycle, and increasing product design quality.
