摘要
In this research paper, the dense wavelength division multiplexed passive optical network with post-dispersion compensation fiber system has been designed for 64 channels with 0.1 THz channel spacing by considering the 11 Gb/s data rate for each channel. The proposed system is designed for 32 downstream and 32 upstream channels with a frequency range in the C band from 191.1–194.2 and 194.3–197.4 THz, respectively, and the data were transmitted over the bidirectional optical fiber simultaneously after passing through erbium-doped fiber amplifier. The performance of the proposed system is analyzed in terms of maximum quality factor, minimum bit error rate, maximum eye amplitude, and maximum optical signal-to-noise ratio by varying the 80 to 200 km optical fiber length for the highest transmission distance. We have successfully transmitted 704 Gb/s data over bidirectional optical fiber lengths up to 200 km for the proposed network. © 2022 by Begell House, Inc.
