摘要
This paper intends to set up a Malmquist Financial Productivity Growth Index and calculate for some main economic indicators to analyze the comprehensive capacity and composition of cities that constitute the regional technical frontier in the Yangtze River Delta region. It also analyzes the index number of financial productivity growth for the 16 cities reflecting the comprehensive real strength in the region, due to scale effect and techn ological progress, and sources of financial productivity increase that exist internally within the region to move onto different levels. Thus, the paper concludes to provide several strategic suggestions on mutual development and functional division among cities in the financial realm.
