Classification and systematics of screens

In building of screening machines certain design solutions accepted presently as the most appropriate ones have been fixed. In the case of screens with material flowing linearly through the screen with rectangular frames, the machines have a drive of two synchronized rotary vibrators. Due to this construction various trajectories of frame vibrations can be obtained. In cylindrical sieves, i.e. in the case of spiral flow of screened material, there are wobbling frames of screens which predominate in this group of machines. Other screening machines constitute a small part of all produced screens and they complete the above mentioned two main groups. In this paper the most important screening machines applied in developed countries are discussed.
