摘要
In response to the poor seismic performance of the widely constructed low rise residential buildings in rural areas, the steel and asphalt isolation pier is proposed based on the base isolation theory and the composite steel and asphalt isolation layer. The full scale pseudo dynamic test was carried out on a one story and single span masonry building model. The magnitudes of the accelerations at the top and bottom of the isolation pier were measured by acceleration sensors and used to evaluate the seismic mitigation effect. The test results show that the isolation piers can absorb most of the input energy from various earthquake waves. The acceleration of the top slab of the isolation pier can be reduced to be less than 50% of that of the bottom slab of the isolation pier, indicating good earthquake mitigation effect. Along with the increase of the vibration frequencies, the acceleration reduction factors in the two horizontal directions decrease accordingly. With the increase of the controlling displacement, the acceleration reduction factor increases accordingly. With the increase of the input acceleration, the acceleration reduction factors decreases.
