摘要
BMT Scientific Marine Services, a specialist in integrated marine monitoring system, is providing integrity management of offshore structures in the Gulf of Mexico, post 2005's hurricane season. The company performs several functions such as managing, quality control, archiving, and summary reports for clients on the data it collects from these monitoring systems. It also offers forensic engineering, which analyzes data in order to investigate what actually happened during a particular incident. BMT is currently working with BP simulating the drilling and completion of wells in some of the largest fields of the Gulf of Mexico to analyze different drilling and completion strategies, which affect the overall operational efficiency. The company is also winning more work as the market for integrated monitoring is growing. The company is expected to provide design tool verification, operational decision support, and forensic engineering analysis of failure events in coming years.
