摘要
Control charts are valuable tool for monitoring process, identifying abnormal performance, and taking prompt corrective actions. One of the control charts, Xbar chart, can be used to monitor the static on rolls arriving from a supplier. The average for each roll is plotted along with four control lines in the Xbar chart. The control limits show the minimum and maximum average measurements that are expected from a process that is running normally. The range for each roll is plotted along with two control lines in the R chart. The range for each roll is below the maximum expected from the process that it is running normally. Control charts provide valuable information of the process, including incoming materials and help to decide when to take action to solve a static problem.
