摘要
The expression of the cogging torque was studied based on the Fourier analysis. The effects of slot and pole number combination, pole-arc, slot opening width, slot skewing and magnet segmentation on the cogging torque were investigated. The methods to obtain the optimal value were achieved based on the expression of the cogging torque. The cogging torque can be reduced to generally acceptable levels by appropriate choice of these methods, and the methods to obtain the optimal value were validated by finite element method.
