摘要
In a previous report, the authors proposed the model of steady state extensional flow in the chill roll film casting. The model assumed existence of the electrode which gives the power of pressing down a film to chill-roll, Isothermality, Newton viscosity, and a plane extension flow. In the film casting process which describes catenary, the boundary conditions of film on a chill-roll are very complicated. Clarifying these boundary conditions is very important to understand the proposed model of film casting process. In this paper, the effects of two dimensional geometrical space on steady state solutions were analyzed numerically by examining the boundary conditions of film on a chill-roll in detail. The influences of gravity, die offset and draw ratio on film profile, thickness, tensile force and so on were studied. These are very important factors in order to design the film casting process.
