Ground motion of semi-cylindrical alluvial valley above subsurface circular structure impacted by SH waves

摘要
The ground motion of a semi-cylindrical alluvial valley above a subsurface circular structure impacted by incident SH-wave is studied. Assistant function, complex function and multi-polar coordinate method are employed and numerical examples and relative discussion on ground motion and dynamic stress concentration factor (FDSC) are provided. The result shows that the existence of 'softer' structure indeed magnifies the ground motion of semi-cylindrical alluvial valley and the alluvial valley's influence on FFDSC around the subsurface is not obvious enough.
