摘要
Failure analyses in the power system are essential for the planning and stable operation of the power system. Nowadays, since distributed generation resources are installed on the power grid, they can increase the short-circuit current. Therefore, various fault current calculation techniques have been introduced in the field. However, they have a problem in accurately estimating the fault current magnitude if distributed generation resources inject their limited or unlimited current to the grid during or after the fault. Thus, this study presents a fault current calculation method of the distributed generation resources working as a current source. The validation case study results examine the fault current change in the grid including distributed generation resources. © 2022 Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers. All rights reserved.
