摘要
According to the unit characteristics and the relationships of mass and energy, alternative procedures to produce hydrogen from coke oven gas (COG) were proposed. In these hydrogen amplification systems, CO2 adsorption enhanced hydrogen reactor was combined with pressure swing adsorption (PSA) separation process. Their performances were analyzed and evaluated by technical and economic indicators which include energy conversion efficiency, hydrogen yield per unit COG and dynamic payback period. Comparisons with PSA separation and hydrogen amplification system with steam reformer were also investigated. Simulation results indicates that hydrogen amplification by CO2 adsorption enhanced reactor combined with PSA unit is a prospective process to convert coke gas chemical energy into hydrogen and electricity with high efficiency and better economic performance. © 2011 Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering.
