Research on the integration of traditional culture into the teaching of ancient literature courses in colleges and universities in the context of big data

The research on the integration of traditional culture into the teaching of ancient literature courses in colleges and universities is to be able to inherit better and develop traditional Chinese culture. In this paper, the hyperparameters of the XGBoost algorithm are optimized using the sparrow search optimization algorithm in the context of big data, which leads to the SSA-XGBoost analysis model. The basic content, characteristics and contemporary values of traditional culture are analyzed in detail, and the SSA-XGBoost analysis model is used to analyze and demonstrate the teaching principles and methods of the traditional culture integration ancient literature course. From the viewpoint of teaching principles, the intuitive principle has the largest growth rate of 10.99%. In terms of teaching methods, the most popular teaching method was the activity-assisted method, with 41.8%. Thus, teaching traditional culture integrated with ancient literature courses needs to pay attention to the choice of teaching methods and principles to make it more acceptable to students and thus promote the development of traditional culture transmission. © 2023 Zhenqiang Du, published by Sciendo.
