The research project HMI requirements for automated individual transport considering performance capabilities and limitations of elderly users was self-financed by the Research Association of Automotive Technology (FAT); conducted at the Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors at the Technical University of Darmstadt under the direction of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ralph Bruder; and supervised by the FAT working group 2 Human as Vehicle Driver. The authors would like to thank the FAT for the funding and all involved project partners and test persons for their support. Their special thanks goes to the project contributors Philip Joisten and Jonas Walter from IAD;
