Location-based services (LBSs) use geographic information to provide a variety of benefits to users - most ubiquitously, through users' mobile devices (phones and smart wearables). While such information offers value - through navigation apps, for example - it contains troves of personal data that can be exploited against users. © 1988-2012 IEEE.
