Unmanned underwater-aerial cross-domain vehicles can work in water and sky, and play a unique role in sea and air military intelligence detection, communication, and fight. This article mainly explores the significance and current development of cross-domain vehicles and introduces relevant scenarios in US military application exercises. Based on the operational characteristics in China, application scenarios of unmanned underwater-aerial cross-domain vehicles are explored, in which independent type and mother-daughter type are proposed. This article may provide a valuable reference for the future development of military equipment. © 2024 Editorial office of Ship Building of China. All rights reserved.
